Last Stretch
We have had two days here in New York City, actually in the suburb called South Jamaica.
The days have been spent ridding our luggage of excess and grabbing some rest and sleep in this pause in our journey back to Ireland. We also enjoyed two phone calls to Amarilis’ brother in Brooklyn, which was a real blessing for us.
Tonight we leave New York for the final stretch of the trip, consisting of a “red eye” flight out at 23:00 and arriving in London mid-morning. Then it’s over to Dublin, a three-hour bus trip north to reconnect with our car and, to complete the whole journey, a 90+ minute trip by car to where we are staying for the rest of this month in Northern Ireland.
And this completes our six-day “Return from Cambodia Odyssey Round the Globe”.
