Déjà Vu Dateline

It’s been a long day!

We were up at 05:00 this morning in Taipei and then took an eleven-hour flight to Seattle in the States, where, because of the International Dateline crossing, we started the day again with a four-hour flight to JFK airport in New York City—without seeing the date change.

It was quite confusing starting the day with our early flight out of Taipei, only to again see the time of 07:00 in the morning in Seattle. It was time for breakfast again!

Now we are in New York City after a marathon couple of flights in a very long day (two days in one?), and here we are trying to keep our eyes from shutting before it really is the proper time to go to bed!

We are very glad that we factored in a whole day off to rest in our hotel in New York, before we cross another ocean on our trip back to Ireland.
