When Your Face Looks Like a Squirrel!

I suppose having a bit of a “wipe out” this past week after our oral surgery was expected, but growing some bulging jowls was certainly not even in our imagination.

We have been in Mesa, Arizona (USA) for a continuation of the dental work (described previously). With some evidence of jawbone infection discovered we knew we were headed for this week, which understandably made us considerably apprehensive, with both of us being new to any kind of surgery. Before the final stretch of reconstruction can take place we need to root out all the infection in our jaws. So this week was fixed in our calendars for some serious dental treatment with the oral surgeon.

Thankfully, we are now on the other side of that experience, glad it’s over, and with mouths and faces that are beginning to look less like a chipmunk after a good feed, and more normal. We may even be able to soon chew again one day! Perhaps when all the stitches come out!
