The Second Half

No! Not that kind of second half!

We are talking about the trip Around the World in 270 Days!

Yesterday I reached the half way mark of this trip. 135 days.

So, officially, I am now in the second half of the trip! My wife passed the halfway mark some weeks ago, as she returns to Ireland well before I do.

The day after tomorrow we are diving into something massive, doing what we came here to do … helping out with the oral translation of the Bible in this land filled with Bible-less languages. A six week marathon with eight languages represented by numerous translators who will work with us on putting the Gospel of Luke into each of their mother tongues.

Our team of 16 people from seven different nations and with six different mother tongues among us is gearing up to run this race before us, leaning heavily on the mighty arm of our God who gives us strength and all we need for this event. Exciting times!
