Doing the Sums

I was writing my diary for today and noticed that I am at Day 268, which means that the trip home tomorrow is actually only Day 269, so this Around the World Trip is one day short! Maybe I am missing a day somewhere in my daily diary entries and have been doing the sums wrong on trip length?

I was looking back on the trip though, and, as I will be travelling from 07:00 (local time in Dubai) until at least 22:00 (local time in U.K.) I think I will give some stats on the whole trip today.

It has looked like this:

  • Travel on 4 continents

  • Travel in 12 different countries

  • Taking 36 flights (31 of them being free; paying airport fees only for those free ones)

  • Oral Bible Translation in PNG with our YWAM team in up to 8 different languages in 2 books of the Bible

  • Multiple conversations talking about Jesus, the Word and declaring testimonies of God at work

  • Multiple intimate times of prayer and ministry to the lost, broken, and also the saved

  • Mentoring, disciple making and fathering many new or young missionaries on 3 continents

  • Several clear moments of the LORD healing through hands laid on or in prayer

It’s been busier than expected in Singapore and Dubai, so I will keep this blog open until I feel like I have given some adequate flash back stories on what happened this year (to fill in the gaps in the blog), testimonies which I did not yet get a chance to write about yet. The blog should be ‘active’ until the end of the year (though I plan to leave it up indefinitely)..
