Trouble in the Middle
Well, we should have been home by now.
Those of you following along with our itinerary, would have concluded we got home two days ago. Yesterday I had to change it again, because we are still in Phnom Penh.
Innocently, we headed to the airport on Saturday afternoon past, refreshed, by a delightful two-day surprise the LORD had for us in a beautiful hotel in Phnom Penh, after our punishing time on Koh Ta Kiev Island โresortโ.
But I digress. We reached the airport, checked in, were told it was time to go to the gate. Excitedly we headed there with our children and grandchildren in mind being only a few hours away from us.
Then we saw at the departure gate that the Doha passengers were being filtered off to the right. A little investigation brought the news that our flight was stopping in Vietnam and all other (Doha) passengers had to collect their luggage and make other arrangements.
With two attempts to go out with Qatar Airways being cancelled, and now the whole booking cancelled, due to no way through to Ireland via the Middle East right now, we have been bumping round cheap hotels and are left with having to book a new itinerary home, avoiding the Middle East, and going the long way round the world.
When we find flights and get them bought we will be back on the way to our children and grandies in Ireland. Meanwhile, we give thanks to the LORD who reigns and is our Guide.
